“ The atmosphere of the restaurant is very cozy! The windows were covered and so only the lanterns were form of lighting which set the vibe. The server I had was very sweet and paid attention to small details like checking if I had service (she ended up giving me the wifi) and running out of the door when I forgot my take out food. I first ordered a strawberry matcha latte which was not strong but the strawberry purée was sweet and good so the drink was still good! The okonomiyaki was an appetizer but I ate half of it and made me full. There was alot of cabbage so if you aren't a fan of that vegetable I don't recommend it. The spicy salmon sushi came with 6 pieces and a good basic sushi. Last thing I had was the chicken though and honey sausage which was sweet from the sauce and the chicken was super tender I loved it! ”

“ Anyone giving less than 4 stars to this place I'm sorry to say it, but you do not know real Japanese food. I was raised with Japanese food cooked by my own Japanese mother and I have lived in Japan for over 21 years, and I can say without a doubt, that this place is up to the real Japanese standards of good food and carefully cut fresh sashimi, compliment to the chefs. The place just opened up a few months ago, and I finally had a chance to give it a try. Prices are reasonable, there is a little everything for all tastes. The menu has a good selection of sushi and hearty hot Japanese meals. This time around I had ordered starters and they were all more than I expected as far as volume, I started with a miso soup, that was rich, with tofu, seaweed and Japanese mushrooms, also had takoyaki and okonomiyaki. I could not order a main meal for myself this time as it was a generous portion of starters, but then again, hence "Izakaya" the perfect place to snack on if you are not feeling like a full course and enjoy time with family and friends. Shared some sushi and sashimi with my family too it was a delight. Next time I might skip starters so I can try other dishes. They are in the process of getting their liquor license, so no alcohol as of right now, looking forward to having some Japanese alcohol whenever they can start selling as well. I'll br on the lookout for that, I was greeted by Naomi, such a joy to speak with, and Andrew served our table, I only had the chance to meet two of the staff, and they were are so nice, friendly, and courteous. The place is well decorated, in a true Izakaya style. Parking is not a problem as it is located by the local Publix. I bought extra food to take home for some members of my family to try since they could not join us, meal was packaged with care, and food kept fresh. I'm so happy that this place opened. I highly recommend it! ”

“ My husband isn't a huge fan of eating out but we enjoyed it here and the value is decent for the amount of food we had. Probably not the best option if you're primarily vegetarian like we are, but we did make it work. Was overall tasty. Food came out super fast to the point it was shocking. For Davenport it's a 5 star, but in terms of other restaurants I've been to around the world of this nature, I'd have to give it just a 4. My husband loved his matcha lemonade drink. It's steep at $7 compared to the food but it was enjoyable for sure ”

Great healthy fresh food at decent prices served in an ambiance that makes you feel like you're on the streets of Japan. “ My husband and I love to hit up different Japanese places in Florida. Our faves are typically Sukihanna, Susuru, and Kura Sushi. We came here because it was close to home and the menu looked good. Pricing, quality, and service were fantastic! My hubbie knocked down Susuru and replaced this restaurant in his top three. We will be back to try the whole menu! This place is legit, you will not be disappointed. Taiyaki was perfectly crispy, the fish tasted fresh and of high quality, and the sauce for that takoyaki was delicious and the the item itself was cooked well. 10/10 ”
